This winter we will be holding a one week programme aimed at architecture students (undergraduate, postgraduate) and qualified Architects, which includes talks, guided building visits and a design workshop which explores contemporary issues that affect the historic city of Edinburgh. The project will be based around individual and group investigation through creative analysis and respond to the city’s fragility, not just its vulnerable built fabric and its economic dependency on tourism and financial services, but also its sense of confidence and identity on the fringes of Europe.
